As a result of the pact he made with Jerry to grow up, George proposes to Susan. A barking dog keeps Elaine up all night so she enlists Kramer and Newman to help her solve the problem.

Jerry’s Apartment
George tells Jerry that he is engaged, but criticizes Jerry for breaking their “pact” by dumping Melanie. Kramer warns Jerry of the dangers of married life. Kramer offers to assist Elaine with her dog problem, by arranging a meeting with someone who “specializes in sticky situations.”
Monk’s Café
Sitting at Monk’s, disgusted with their lives, Jerry and George make a pact to make drastic changes in their lives and relationships. Jerry: “OUR LIVES! What kind of lives are these? We’re like children. We’re not men!” Jerry quickly breaks this pact within the episode, after dumping a woman for eating peas one at a time.
George’s Apartment
George dumps Alice for beating him at a game of chess.
Elaine’s Apartment
Elaine is tortured by a barking dog across her courtyard, prompting her to hire Kramer and Newman to take care of the problem.
Newman’s Apartment
Elaine and Kramer visit Newman to inquire about his “services” in helping remove the noisy dog across from Elaine’s building.
