The Wizard (season 9, episode 15)
written by Steve Lookner, directed by Andy Ackerman
original airdate: February 26, 1998
Jerry buys his father an electronic organizer. Elaine thinks her boyfriend is black. Kramer retires in Florida, and Morty convinces him to run for condo board president. George lies to Susan’s parents about purchasing a house in The Hamptons.
The Improv is not featured in this episode.
Kramer announces he’s retiring, as his coffee table book was optioned for a movie. George lies to the Rosses about having a house in The Hamptons, and then begins an elaborate game of chicken when he finds out they know he’s lying.
Jerry shows off his Wizard, a birthday gift for Morty. The gang discusses whether Elaine’s new boyfriend is black, as their possible “interracial” relationship leads to further confusion. The Rosses spot George and Elaine at the coffee shop, when he was supposed to be at “his house” in The Hamptons.
