Elaine purchases John F. Kennedy’s golf clubs for Peterman at an auction by outbidding her rival, Sue Ellen Mischke. Jerry’s mechanic accuses him of being a bad owner and car-naps the vehicle with the clubs still in the backseat. Kramer and Newman find the missing link to their Michigan bottle deposit scheme and set out to make their millions. Emmy Award-Winner Brad Garrett guest stars.

Jerry’s Apartment
Kramer resuscitates his Michigan bottle deposit scheme, spurned by Newman’s curiosity – however, the plans are changed when they spot Jerry’s stolen car on the highway, leading to a wild phone conversation between Kramer, Jerry and Elaine. Jerry suggests George use a follow-up question with Mr. Wilhelm for his special project.

Monk’s Café
Jerry and George dissect the lyrics of the song “Downtown,” to unlock a potential secret regarding George’s special project. Kramer steals bottles from patrons for his bottle deposit collection.

Yankee Stadium
George is given a “special” assignment by Mr. Wilhelm, the details of which he does not even hear. The assignment gets mysteriously done, but ends up having George tossed into a mental hospital.

J. Peterman
Elaine is assigned by Mr. Peterman to buy a set of golf clubs formerly owned by John F. Kennedy, given a budget of $10,000 (she ends up spending $20,000, and then loses them).

Bantu Besh
Mr. Peterman mentions JFK’s creation of the Peace Corps helped him start in the fashion industry, clothing the naked natives of Bantu Besh with the Pygmy pullover. There does not appear to be a specific region/city called “Bantu Besh,” but the Bantu peoples comprise numerous ethnic groups throughout southern Africa.

Tony pulls a “Mary Beth Whitehead” on Jerry’s car, stealing it and the golf clubs inside, since he is the only one who wants to take care of it. Jerry mentions to Elaine that Tony’s is located on 56th St.

Newman’s Apartment
Newman, upon looking at a picture of his mother, realizes he has access to a free mail truck to Michigan.

Kramer’s Apartment
Newman gleefully reveals to Kramer that he has access to a free truck to Michigan, ensuring that the bottle deposit scheme can be successful: “let the collecting begin!”

USPS Second Domestic Regional Sorting Facility (NOT REAL)

Newman signs up to make a delivery to the Second Domestic Regional Sorting Facility in Saginaw just before Mother’s Day, using the rest of his truck for bottles.

In trying to find a “little place that never closes” from the song “Downtown,” Jerry suggests it may be 7-Eleven, with dozens of locations throughout New York City.

Mr. Wilhelm’s house

Mr. Wilhelm is shown at home, evidently losing his memory…and perhaps his sanity.

Pier 38, New York, NEW YORK
Jerry is called to the warehouse at Pier 38 to identify his potentially stolen car…but it turns out its a Saab 900 Turbo, which thankfully was not Jerry’s car.

OHIO (map)
Kramer and Newman spot Jerry’s car being driven by Tony in Ohio.

Ohio State Route 135, OHIO (map)
Tony begins going south on the 135, forcing Kramer and Newman away from Saginaw to continue following him. Route 135 runs only 2.8 miles from Lynchburg to Allensburg, Ohio, eventually leading to Interstate 75, running south into Kentucky.

ARKANSAS (map)
Trying to convince Kramer to continue north to Michigan (rather than follow Tony in Jerry’s stolen car), Newman mentions that Tony could well be driving all the way to Arkansas.

country house
Newman happens upon a friendly farmer, after claiming he was “ambushed by a band of backwoods mail-hating survivalists,” and is given food and shelter. Kramer later appears, and the two of them are driven from the house after “Norman” hits on the farmer’s daughter.

Kramer mentions he has enough gas in the mail truck’s tank to follow Tony in Jerry’s stolen car to Memphis.
