The Secret Code (season 7, episode 7)

George refuses to give Susan his ATM code. Elaine is attracted to a man because he doesn’t remember meeting her. Jerry abandons George with Peterman, who drags him to see his dying Momma. Kramer gets an emergency band scanner to keep tabs on the local police and fire departments.

Kramer gets inside George’s mind to crack his secret code, narrowing it down to his temptation for chocolate syrup before George flees in a panic. Elaine invites Jerry to dinner with Mr. Peterman. Kramer listens to an emergency scanner to criticize the FDNY’s emergency routes throughout the city.
Monk’s Café
Jerry presses George to try to have him give up his secret code. Elaine is re-introduced to Fred, who stymies her when he cannot ever recall meeting her previously.
George’s Apartment
Susan grills George for his secret ATM code, later mocking him when she discovers it’s “Bosco.”

Jerry is offered some TV spots for Leapin’ Larry’s appliance store, but sours the relationship when his foot falls asleep, and Larry thinks he is mocking his prosthetic leg. Jerry’s paresthesia later accidentally sets the store ablaze. The store is mentioned as being down the block from the funeral home (at 152 Second Ave.), yet Kramer mentions to the FDNY chief that the store is uptown.
W. 115th St., New York, NEW YORK (map)
Kramer hears of a fire on 115th on his emergency scanner, but criticizes the FDNY for taking the West Side Highway to get to the fire.

Kramer criticizes the FDNY, after hearing on his emergency scanner that they plan on using the Highway to get to a fire on W. 115th St.

Kramer praises his own traffic navigation skills, claiming he once got from his apartment to Yankee Stadium during rush hour in 15 minutes.

Jerry asks if George would be willing to tell him his ATM code if he were locked up in a Turkish prison (“Midnight Express my friend…”), and if the embassy was closed…but his code would be of no use, because according to George, as Turkey is “not on the plus system.”

Mr. Peterman tells George he was once searching for the Gan Jiang River market (the Gan River flows through Jiangxi).
Pamplona, SPAIN (map)
Mr. Peterman tells George about one of his products, the Pamplona beret, sizes seven and a half through eight and three quarters.

Mr. Peterman begins to tell George about his latest trip to Burma, when he gets a call about his ill mother.
Elaine’s Apartment
Elaine discusses her strange obsession on the phone with Jerry, who reveals that he ditched on the Peterman dinner and stranded George.

George and Elaine attend Mr. Peterman’s mother’s funeral, but Elaine manages to bail out of here by pretending she is speaking at a women’s conference. George fails miserably when trying to convince Peterman he too has to speak at a men’s conference. George is later pressured into giving up his secret code to a man trapped in a nearby ATM vestibule.

Peterman believes George’s code “Bosco” may have been the name of a man his mother was seeing while he was a boy growing up in Costa Rica.

Not the biggest Seinfeld fan, but the outside of 329 Union Street in Brooklyn (which is where I live) is Mrs. Peterman’s apt or Fred’s mother’s apt…I believe it is Mrs. Peterman’s though. Check it out!
